Engineering Minds in Action: Where Curiosity Meets Creativity

The Technocrats Club of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, under  the Team ACME, organized an exciting and knowledge-filled quiz with a title “Brain Bolt” on September 15, 2025. The event was held from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM in the ECE department and was exclusively designed for second and third-year students.

The main aim of the event was to help students sharpen their technical knowledge, quick thinking, and presentation skills. Through fun and intellectually engaging activities, the event encouraged students to think creatively, solve problems, and express their ideas confidently. It also gave them a chance to explore real-world challenges and come up with innovative solutions, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.

The event was guided by Dr. TVS Gowtham Prasad, Faculty Coordinator, and smoothly managed by student coordinators M.S. Pravallika, Kuruba Bhavana, Siddharth, and Hemanth. A total of 50 students took part in the quiz, showing great enthusiasm and teamwork. Their active participation and thoughtful responses made the event lively and meaningful.

The quiz had two interesting rounds. The first round, “Guess the Scientist and Their Inventions,” involved identifying famous scientists and their discoveries based on pictures shown on the projector. This round tested students’ memory and general scientific awareness. The second round focused on problem-solving, where selected participants were given engineering or social issues to analyze and present creative solutions. This round highlighted their analytical thinking, communication skills, and technical approach.

Students took away many valuable lessons from the event. They gained better awareness of key scientific contributions, improved their ability to think critically, and learned how to present ideas clearly. The event also helped them understand the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and original thinking. It was a great opportunity to build confidence and prepare for future challenges.

At the end of the event, the organizers expressed heartfelt thanks to all the participants for their active involvement and positive spirit. Their energy and curiosity made the event memorable success.
