The Nutrition Club, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, MBU, organized an academic session titled “Nutrition as Supportive Care in Cancer Management” on 24th December 2025. The program was conducted in the department from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The aim of the session was to highlight how nutrition serves as a supportive pillar in cancer management. It was designed to help students appreciate the role of dietary interventions in reducing treatment-related complications, improving quality of life, and supporting recovery. The event also emphasized the pharmacist’s role in multidisciplinary cancer care, encouraging students to see nutrition not just as food intake but as a scientific and evidence-based practice that contributes to overall patient well-being.
The session was coordinated and delivered by Dr. Hari V, Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. A total of 45 students from B. Pharmacy and Pharm D programs participated actively. Their performance was commendable, as they listened attentively, asked relevant questions, and showed keen interest in understanding the practical applications of nutrition in oncology. The enthusiasm of the participants reflected their academic curiosity and commitment to learning beyond textbooks.
