The Communion Club, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, organized a vibrant and meaningful event titled “Ganesha’s Arrival” on 26th August 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Room No. 352. The event was specially planned for 2nd- and 3rd-year ECE students, blending festive joy with thoughtful learning. The main aim of the event was to promote eco-friendly celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi by encouraging students to craft Lord Ganesha idols using natural and biodegradable materials. It was a gentle reminder that devotion and sustainability can go hand in hand and that small steps like these can lead to a more conscious and caring world.
The event was coordinated by Mr. Shashi Kumar S., Assistant Professor, with active support from the ECE faculty. A total of 67 enthusiastic students participated, bringing their creativity and energy to their tables. Their involvement was heartening—they worked with focus, shared ideas, and truly embraced the spirit of the occasion.
The clay idol-making activity was the highlight of the event. Students were guided to use eco-friendly clay and natural decorations, avoiding synthetic materials. The process was hands-on and joyful, allowing students to express their artistic side while learning about sustainable practices. The room was filled with joy, concentration, and a sense of shared purpose.
Participants took away more than just clay models—they carried with them a deeper understanding of environmental responsibility, a renewed appreciation for cultural traditions, and the joy of creating something meaningful with their own hands.
At the end of the session, the organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the participants and faculty members who made the event a success. Their support and enthusiasm turned a simple idea into a memorable experience that celebrated both tradition and transformation.
