Earth Form: Blending Festive Spirit with Eco-Friendly Innovation

August 26

The Creative Association of Mechanical Engineers (CAMS) Club at MBU hosted a vibrant event titled Earth Form: Eco-Friendly Artistry Drive on 26 August 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Held at the MNS Block premises, the event was organized in celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi. Its main aim was to raise awareness among students about the importance of environmental conservation during festive occasions. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm as students came together to express their creativity with a meaningful purpose.

Under the guidance of Dr. D. Gowthami, Assistant Professor and event coordinator, the contest welcomed 52 spirited participants. Each student brought fresh ideas and energy, making the event lively and inspiring. The contest was thoughtfully designed to spark artistic expression while promoting sustainability. Students were encouraged to design and craft their own Ganesha idols using eco-friendly and biodegradable materials. They had the option to work individually or in groups, which fostered both personal creativity and teamwork.

The activity stood as a reflection of the CAMS Club’s dedication to blending environmental responsibility with academic and cultural engagement. By combining engineering knowledge with artistic imagination, Earth Form showcased how student-led efforts can lead to positive change in how festivals are celebrated.

Participants walked away with more than just their handcrafted idols—they gained a deeper understanding of sustainable practices and the impact of their choices. Many expressed a renewed commitment to celebrating festivals in a more eco-conscious way.

At the close of the event, the organizers extended heartfelt thanks to all the students for their enthusiastic participation. Their creativity and commitment made Earth Form a memorable success, and the CAMS Club looks forward to hosting more such initiatives in the future.
