Diwali UTSAV 2025: Art, Culture, and Community Spirit

October 17

The FYE Club of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a vibrant and joyful event titled “Diwali UTSAV” on 17th October 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. within the department premises. The event brought together students and faculty to mark the spirit of Diwali—the festival of lights—with creativity, colour, and cultural warmth.

The event was specially designed for second and third-year students of the ECE and EIE departments. Its aim was to help students connect with the deeper meaning of Diwali, while also giving them a space to express them artistically. Through art and design, the celebration encouraged students to reflect on the values of light, goodness, and togetherness that Diwali represents.

The event was coordinated by Ms. D. Harika, faculty member of the ECE department, along with five enthusiastic student coordinators—G. Rupesh Sai, M. Firoz Shah, MMD. Munof, T. Sriman, and E. Karthik Akhil. Around 70 students participated in the event very actively, bringing their energy and imagination to every part of the celebration. The activities included paintings and poster making, both cantered on Diwali themes. Poster making was equally lively, with students crafting messages like “Happy Diwali” and illustrating scenes of fireworks, temples, and joyful gatherings. These activities helped students explore Indian traditions in a hands-on, expressive way.

Participants experienced the joy of working together, the satisfaction of creating something meaningful, and a deeper understanding of Diwali’s cultural roots. The event also helped build a sense of community and celebration among peers. The organizers expressed heartfelt thanks to all the participants for their enthusiastic involvement. Their creativity and spirit made “Diwali UTSAV” a truly memorable celebration of light, unity, and joy.
