Decoding Intelligence: A Tech Talk on Machine Learning Tools & Technologies

The Tech Know Club of the School of Computing, Department of Computer Applications of MBU organized an engaging event titled “Tech Talk on Machine Learning Tools & Technologies” on 18th November 2025. The event was held in the department and brought together students and faculty members interested in exploring the latest trends in machine learning. The session created a vibrant learning space where technology enthusiasts could connect, learn, and grow.
The main aim of the event was to introduce students to widely used machine learning tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn. It also focused on helping them understand the complete machine learning workflow—from data pre-processing to model building, evaluation, and deployment. The talk was designed to make complex concepts simple and practical, encouraging students to explore real-world applications of AI and ML.
The event was coordinated by Ms. P. Yasminbhanu, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications. A total of 65 students participated in the session. The participants showed great interest and actively engaged throughout the talk. Their enthusiasm was evident during the interactive Q&A session, where they asked thoughtful questions and shared their views on the topics discussed.
The session offered a clear and practical overview of machine learning tools and technologies. It covered key concepts such as supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation techniques, and the use of cloud-based ML platforms. The speaker also shared insights into how these tools are used in real-world scenarios, making the session both informative and inspiring. The talk was well-paced and included live demonstrations and relatable examples, which helped students connect theory with practice.
Participants walked away with a stronger understanding of machine learning fundamentals and improved awareness of the tools used in the industry. They gained confidence in exploring ML platforms and learned how to approach model development and deployment. The session also encouraged them to think critically about how AI and ML are shaping the future of technology.
The organizers expressed heartfelt thanks to all the participants for their active involvement and positive feedback. They also appreciated the support of the faculty and the enthusiasm of the students, which made the event a meaningful and successful learning experience. The Tech Talk truly added value to the academic journey of everyone who attended.
