Code Craft 2025 – Building Logical Minds and Coding Confidence

November 6

The TAIT Club, the School of Computing organized an exciting coding event titled “Code Craft” on 6th November 2025 at Room No 618, MNS Block. The event was designed to bring together young programmers and challenge their problem-solving abilities in a competitive yet friendly environment. Students from various branches participated with great enthusiasm, making the event lively and engaging.

The main goal of Code Craft was to help students sharpen their logical thinking and programming skills. It aimed to encourage them to explore coding fundamentals more deeply and to build confidence in solving real-world problems. The event also focused on promoting a culture of competitive programming and identifying talented coders who could represent the university in future inter-college contests and hackathons.

The event was coordinated by Ms. Nithisha, Assistant Professor, School of Computing. A total of 42 students took part in the challenge. Their energy and commitment were evident throughout the event. They tackled each round with focus and determination, showing a strong grasp of programming concepts and a willingness to learn and improve.

Code Craft was conducted in two rounds. The first round was a Logical Coding Quiz, where students answered multiple-choice questions and solved short coding problems. This round tested their understanding of algorithms, data structures, and debugging. Those who performed well moved on to the second round, which involved Problem Solving and Implementation. Here, participants were given real-world coding tasks and asked to write efficient programs using languages like Python, C++, or Java. Faculty evaluators looked at how accurate, logical, and creative their solutions were.

The event helped students in many ways. They improved their coding and analytical skills, learned to manage time under pressure, and gained confidence in applying their classroom knowledge to practical problems. It also encouraged teamwork and peer learning, as students discussed strategies and shared ideas. Many participants said the event helped them discover areas where they could grow and inspired them to take part in bigger competitions.

At the end of the event, the organizers thanked all the participants for their active involvement and positive spirit. They appreciated the students’ efforts and congratulated the winners—Mr. K. Manoj Kumar, Ms. Y. Sonali and Ms. M. Jhansi—for their outstanding performance. The event was a great success and left everyone looking forward to more such opportunities in the future.

The student groups actively participated in the quiz, responding enthusiastically to the questions.
