Cinema Clash: Celebrating Films and Fun Through a Friendly Competition

October 13

The Young Caliber Club, the Department of ECE of MBU, organized a fun-filled event titled “CINEMA CLASH” on 13th October 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. The event took place on campus and brought together students who share a love for movies and music. It was a lively gathering that added excitement and energy to the day, with enthusiastic participation from students across the department.

The main aim of the event was to create a joyful and engaging experience for students by testing their knowledge of cinema in a creative way. It was designed to combine entertainment with learning, encouraging students to think quickly, work as a team, and enjoy a friendly competition. The event also helped students connect over shared interests and build a sense of community.

The event was coordinated by Ms. Nune Divya, faculty member from ECE, along with student coordinators K. Bhavana, Durga Poojitha, Abhilash, and Siddharth. A total of 58 students participated in the event, and their energy and enthusiasm made it a great success. Participants showed excellent teamwork, quick thinking, and a strong interest in the challenges presented.

The event “CINEMA CLASH” featured two exciting rounds. In the first round, students had to guess the song by reading its English-translated lyrics, which tested their understanding and memory. The second round involved identifying songs based on pictures shown on screen, making it even more interactive and fun. Both rounds were well-received and kept the audience engaged throughout.

The event helped students sharpen their creativity and presence of mind. It also encouraged collaboration and friendly competition. Many participants shared that they enjoyed the challenge and felt more confident after taking part. It was a refreshing break from routine and gave them a chance to bond with peers while learning something new.

The organizers expressed heartfelt thanks to all the participants for their active involvement and cheerful spirit. They appreciated the support from faculty and students and were happy to see the event bring smiles and laughter. The Young Caliber Club looks forward to organizing more such events that blend fun with learning and help students grow beyond the classroom.
