December 24, 2025

The Sanskriti Club of the Department of Commerce and Management organized an institutional-level elocution program titled “Elocution on Culture and Heritage” on24th December 2025 at the Mini Auditorium. The main aim of the event was to foster awareness and appreciation of India’s traditions, values, and historical legacy. It provided students with a meaningful platform to express their thoughts on themes such as freedom fighters, regional diversity, cultural identity, and the importance of preserving heritage in today’s fast-changing world. The program encouraged students to reflect on how culture continues to shape national unity and ethical values even in modern times.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Mahadevan, Asst. professor, Department of Commerce and Management and witnessed the active participation of 76 students. Each participant came well-prepared and delivered speeches that were both thoughtful and expressive. Their clarity of ideas, confidence on stage, and effective communication skills made the event lively and impactful. The students performed with sincerity and passion, which reflected their deep respect for India’s cultural roots.

The activity was conducted in a structured and engaging manner. Participants spoke on diverse topics related to heritage and culture, linking them to contemporary relevance. The speeches highlighted how traditions and values continue to influence modern society and how preserving cultural identity is essential for future generations. The event not only celebrated India’s diversity but also helped students improve their public speaking, critical thinking, and stage presence. The interactive nature of the program kept the audience engaged and inspired.

The key takeaways for the participants were significant. They gained confidence in expressing their ideas before an audience, improved their articulation and communication skills, and developed a deeper understanding of cultural values and traditions. The event also encouraged respect for diversity and inclusivity by bringing together students from different academic backgrounds. Many participants shared that the experience helped them connect heritage with contemporary social relevance and inspired them to promote cultural awareness in their own circles.

At the conclusion of the program, the organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, faculty members, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the event.
