A Celebration of Reading: Reading Together and Growing Together

November 11

The Readers Club of MBU organized a thoughtful and engaging event titled “Books: The Foundation of Knowledge” on 11th November 2025 from10:00 AM to 11:30 AM in the University Library. The session brought together students who share a love for reading and learning. The calm and inspiring setting of the library made it the perfect place for this meaningful activity.

The main aim of the event was to encourage students to develop a regular reading habit and to explore the joy of books beyond academics. It was designed to help students discover different genres and authors, improve their communication skills, and understand the deeper value of books in shaping knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking. The event also aimed to create a space where students could share their thoughts and learn from one another.

The session was coordinated by Dr. Anand Kumar, Assistant Professor, School of Commerce and Management. Total of 29 students participated in the activity. Each student showed great interest and involvement throughout the session. Their active participation and willingness to share their reflections made the event lively and meaningful.

During the activity, students visited the library and selected books from various genres that caught their attention. They spent time reading and then shared short reviews and key takeaways from their chosen books. This created a warm and interactive environment where students exchanged ideas, opinions, and personal reflections. The session helped them improve their reading and speaking skills while also building confidence in expressing their thoughts.

The participants took away many valuable lessons from the event. They discovered new authors and genres, improved their ability to think critically, and learned to appreciate different perspectives. The activity also helped them connect more deeply with their peers and made them realize the importance of books as lifelong companions in learning and growth. Many students expressed that they felt inspired to visit the library more often and make reading a regular part of their routine.

At the end of the session, the organizers expressed heartfelt thanks to all the participants for their enthusiasm and openness. They appreciated the students’ active involvement and shared their hope to conduct more such events in the future to keep the spirit of reading alive on campus.
