The Technocrats Club of MBU organized a dynamic and insightful event titled “Hands-On Experience in Electronics” on 11th March 2025, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Aimed at testing and enhancing students’ understanding of electronic principles, the event combined competition with practical training, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. It was a vibrant platform for budding technocrats to engage, learn, and demonstrate their creative problem-solving skills.
The event was structured into three progressive rounds. Round 1, titled “Finding the Values,” challenged participants to identify resistor values using color codes. This segment assessed not just textbook understanding but also quick recognition skills under time constraints—vital in real circuit building.
In Round 2, “List Out the Components,” students were called on to identify and name various electronic components like diodes, capacitors, transistors, and ICs. This round aimed to reinforce visual familiarity and encourage attention to detail, key traits for any aspiring electronics engineer.
Finally, Round 3 brought the competition to a peak with “Design a Circuit.” Participants were tasked with conceptualizing and sketching a basic electronic circuit using given components. This round allowed students to apply their learning in a creative and structured way, highlighting both their design thinking and technical knowledge.
The event stood out as more than just a competition—it was a carefully crafted educational experience. Students walked away not only with a sense of achievement but also with practical insights and enhanced confidence in handling electronics. The Technocrats Club’s initiative succeeded in sparking curiosity and providing a hands-on understanding of technology, truly empowering the next generation of innovators.
