The Management Club, the School of Commerce and Management at Mohan Babu University, successfully organized a dynamic and thought-provoking activity titled “Boardroom Battle—The CEO Challenge” on 15th April 2025 in the NAB Seminar Hall. The event aimed to enhance students’ leadership, critical thinking, and decision-making skills by simulating high-stakes corporate decision-making environments.
This event focused on a socially significant and challenging topic—human trafficking in metropolitan cities in India. Participants engaged in group discussions and case study analysis, assuming the roles of CEOs and strategic consultants responsible for devising actionable, ethical, and sustainable corporate responses to human trafficking.
A total of 150 students participated in the event, displaying exceptional enthusiasm and dedication. The event was coordinated by faculty member Dr. Kuladeep, and it was further supported by faculty members of the department. Their collective efforts ensured the smooth execution of activities, creating an environment where students could actively involve themselves and present their ideas effectively.
The participants were divided into teams, each representing a corporate boardroom. They engaged with an in-depth case study on human trafficking in India’s metropolitan areas, analyzing the social, ethical, and operational challenges involved and proposing corporate strategies for prevention, awareness, and rehabilitation, and then defended their insights and action plans before a faculty panel. Each team presented their insights, action plans, and justification before a panel of faculty judges. Their evaluations were based on innovation, feasibility, ethical considerations, clarity of thought, and team coordination.
The “Boardroom Battle—The CEO Challenge” proved to be a highly engaging and enriching experience, leaving participants better equipped to tackle real-world business dilemmas with integrity and strategic foresight. The event proved to be an inspiring and engaging session, enhancing critical thinking and decision-making skills among students. By providing them with the necessary knowledge and motivation and providing a platform, this event played a pivotal role in their academic and professional growth. The event organizers sincerely expressed their gratitude to all the participants and faculties for their invaluable support and contributions in making the event a remarkable success.
